How much to spend on a crib mattress?
I can not believe how expensive they are all in BRU. We will be co-sleeping with a nest to curl up in the first 3 months, so you do not need to be in the crib immediately, but it's something you have to buy. How much to spend on a crib mattress? Is it a bad idea to buy the cheapest they sell? Now I have a crib, I just need a mattress.
I bought the cheapest one Wal Mart. He was a pediatrician for about $ 50.

Almost 1 million Cribs were recalled by the simplicity cribmaker Incorporated because of the relationship of at least three U.S. government children.The cribs recalled in what was the cradle of the largest memory in U.S. history. Cots had a lane drop that creates a dangerous vacuum that a child could easily fall out of.
On 21 September 2007, following an investigation by the Chicago Tribune, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of cribs sold in both the Simplicity and Graco name. It is the largest recall of full-size cribs since the agency was created in the 1970s. The agency initially said it was aware of two deaths in Simplicity-manufactured cribs with older style hardware where the drop was installed reverse side. One of those children was 6 months old in Georgia, and the other was a call of 9-month-old Liam Johns. After more research, it became Clearly there was a third child had died as a result of the accident on poorly designed cribs.
Due to the nature of the withdrawal, parents have been warned by the CPSC to check their cribs and contact through telephone simplicity (888-593-9274) or on the web (www.simplicityforchildren.com) to obtain a repair kit with the new hardware. If the crib already has the newer hardware consumers should check the crib drop rail to ensure it is mounted right side above.
There are several models that are part of the recall were manufactured by Simplicity Inc. recalled cribs have neither the simplicity Graco or names.

After initial recovery, the crib recall caused more noise, as a member of U.S. Congress demanded to know why the CPSC had delayed so long in ordering the recall, since the first incident involving unsafe cribs may have occurred as early as 2004. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) asked the Federal Consumer Product Safety of Commission to explain why the agency took more than two years and three babies died before they recalled 1 million cribs for design and hardware flaws. The investigation into the CPCS's response remains underway.
Given the severity of the withdrawal, many parents immediately followed the instructions to contact the CPSC Simplicity Inc. collection with new hardware. The CPSC also said parents should not allow children to sleep in the recalled cribs to "night even one more. "However, in the weeks following the withdrawal, it has become clear that simplicity can not provide parents with adequate resources to ensure their cribs are safe. Parents who are calling for simplicity, Inc. as indicated, to order a repair kit for recalled cribs are finding teams are not as readily available. In fact, Simplicity does not even have the repair kits ready.
More than two weeks after the recall notice went out, Simplicity is telling anxious parents that it could be three to four weeks before receiving a repair kit to correct defects in the cribs. The CPSC said that this was necessary because of the danger posed by the hazardous cribs.
However, while the computers are not available, parents are asking to be delivered during the night to repair the cribs, but parents are not says about the lack of availability kits. It has also been discovered that the CPSC could not even be approved overnight repair kits and spare parts.
