Are bumpers in the crib safe?
Recently I became one in our video monitor and was afraid to see my 4 month old was picked at the corner of the crib, with one arm between the bumper and the mattress, his face against the bumper. She was fine (thank god!), But I wonder if anyone have any advice to prevent this from happening again? I do not want to miss the bumper at all because he definitely hit his head on the side.
You can get a crib bumper mesh. They sell them at Wal-Mart, Target, Babies R 'Us. Provide sufficient padding when baby hits her head, but if the baby's face is pasted in it, do not drown.

DaVinci Baby Crib JPMA Certification Process
Association Juvenile Products Manufacturers (JPMA) offers certification products that meet the criteria published by ASTM International (formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials). ASTM is a nonprofit organization with reputation of the published requirements for materials, solutions and services. These requirements are what the JPMA use to determine whether a product qualifies for official certification or does not meet the requirements. For an item that is JPMA certified, which means is that the item complies with the established standard and is compatible with security.
