Co-sleeping with baby .... looking for co-sleeping advice from other co-sleeping parents only please ...?
We are currently co-sleeping with our 11 months old. This has been going on for about 6 months and was not our plan. Out of sheer exhaustion. He has always been a very restless sleep, waking up 4 + times each night. It scares him when he gets in his cradle, and is not an occasional preacher, once you start does not stop. So this is why we started .... Soo us tired. He stopped breastfeeding at 8 months to a sippy cup, no bottle, and has no teeth. I think my other colleagues asked the parents to sleep is when is a good time to transition to a crib / bed? Should I give up the idea of sleeping alone with my husband? I'd love some general co sleep HONEST advice from others they have done or are doing this. Thanks
Although the term "co-sleeping" is new to me (which constituted that term? Probably someone who does not want to feel guilty about letting your child sleep with them until age 5.), my wife and I let two of our three children to sleep with us like children. My son had a difficult time into his own bed. I think it was 2 when they took - and still occasionally was allowed to return to bed for the same reason you mentioned, I needed to sleep. My son protested vigorously for months after moving into their own room. My second child, a daughter, moved into her own bed at about 9 months. But I think the reason it was easier because we have adopted a child of 11 months and moved to the crib next to the other in its own room. They fussed, but not nearly as long as my son. My experience is: You will suffer now or suffer later, when making your engine to its own rooms - but later made the transition faster.
