How To Put Together An Old Crib
Where can I find Nod-A-Way mounting instructions and spare cot?
This is an old crib that I am giving to a family that just had its first son. They have a lot, so I would like this crib is a good addition to your nursery, but I need some help to get it together. Thank you!
There must be a manufacturer sticker on one side that has the name of the manufacturer and serial number of the crib. You should be able to use that information to obtain in their website and order instructions and parts. We had to order new hardware for our cradle, and it was lost among children and it cost us between $ 20 parts and shipping. But I was able to find all the information I needed to get things off the label on the crib.

Christmas is coming, and like every year, the terrible moment of Christmas gifts gets too close.
This year I decided to go shopping while enjoying a weekend visiting a new city.
As I gathered information about the Italian cities, I discovered that Bologna has a Nativity tradition of very important and interesting.
The Cradle sense goes back to the Etruscan and Latin culture in the form of Lari, the ancestors dead, according to the Roman traditions, caring for the family. Each ancestor is represented by a small statue of terracotta or wax, called sigillum (from signum = signal effige). Around Dec. 20, there was a feast, call Sigillaria, during which changed the sigillo family of deceased relatives during the year, on Christmas Eve, the family gathered to invoke the protection of the ancestors. From the fourth century these traditions became Christian holidays maintain the rituals and dates, but changing the names and religious meanings.
The tradition of the crib, in Italy, started with San Francisco of Assisi, who in 1223 realized the first live rendition of the Nativity in the church inside the castle of Greccio (Rieti) and the first known carved the cradle is achieved by Arnolfo di Cambio between 1290 and 1292.
The custom of reproduction of the Nativity in church as we know it today, took place in the fifteenth century. When I arrived, I took part in an excursion organized in the Nativity routes led by researchers at University "Center for Popular Culture."
The route has 33 stops in places where sculpture or representations are shown pictorial. For the complete tour is needed more than a day, yet could realize the artistry and magic of this tradition in Bologna. The Nativity Bologna is distinguished from others by the emphasis on the figures. The statues are mannequins dressed as the Genoese or Neapolitan, but the characters are carved and shaped in its entirety, including clothing, using different materials depending on the ability of the artist.
Another feature of the Cradle of Bologna is the presence of two typical characters: the wonder and sleepy. The wonder, usually female role, raised his arms and half-closed mouth in amazement as beaten on the birth of Jesus. By contrast, the Sleepyhead is a function of sleep, often a pastor, who does not realize what is happening around them.
Eventually the dreaded Christmas shopping proved to be the most enjoyable weekends.
