Decorating ideas room to room 12 year old girls?
I'm moving into a new house and I have a new room and is light blue. I have to share with two other girls though. im a 12 year old, so I want something suitable for my age. Ideas? links sites web photo help .... thanks .. room the best idea gets 10 points! thanks!

Living in a small space is definitely a challenge. And, small room decorating is a challenge in itself.
People live in small houses for a variety of reasons. It may be that they can not afford a bigger house or perhaps just want to live a less complicated lifestyle. Whatever the reason, there certain rules to be followed in decorating small rooms. Here is a list of the most important:
1. Plan, plan, plan. Go through from home and write down how you actually use the space you have. Then the look with an eye toward how they can better utilize that space. Will have areas for cooking, fun, relaxing, sleeping and possibly a home office. Write it down and then decide on the best places to suit applications. You do not need a formal dining room? Make in an office instead. A room does not always have to use the way the architect intended.
2. Get rid of the confusion. When you have lots of "stuff" and very little space, the space full of junk that you can look a lot smaller than it really is. So the first task is to clean what you do not really need. Have a garage sale, give to a charity and launch the exhausted items in the container.
3. Use color to visually expand the space. Choose colors to give the room a more open. Also, try to go monochromatic. Selection of the tones that are in the same color family fools the eye to create spaces seem larger. Their colors, furniture should blend with the wall and carpet colors that do not break the visual flow.
4. Paint ceiling a lighter color than the walls. Avoid using a wallcovering with heavy drawings in a small room.
5. Choose furniture carefully. Choose styles that are multipurpose. Furniture like sofas that have removable roofs and tables that have storage drawers are ideal for a small room. Nest or bunks, or even loft beds are just the ticket for kids rooms or a den. Taller curved end tables, narrow legs attract attention by virtue of the piece, so the larger space. Dining and coffee tables to glass to provide a place for accessories without blocking view of the room.
6. Use task lighting to make a room seem larger. Add lighting, such as track or recessed lights. Also, remove the thick curtains. Use light sheers allowing sunlight to show through, or use window coverings at all if privacy is not a problem. With the right kind of lighting can be use darker colors in paint and furniture. In fact, the result can be very dramatic, with proper lighting effects.
7. Use a mirror to visually enlarge the space of a room. Not only his reflection that the room feel twice as big, but it reflects light around the room to increase more visual space.
Viewing the ways rooms should work for you is a good first step to take when decorating a small space. Small rooms do not have to feel cramped and unusable. They can be beautiful and welcoming with a little planning and creativity.
